Default WIN32 printing error

After updating "critical updates" windows media player and
getting java script, and micromedia Flash 7; I cannot
print anything while on-line. My printer works fine in
other programs and I never had problems printing before
but now when I try to print, I get the message that "two-
way communication cannot be established or it was lost"
and usually, I get the "this is only available for the WIN
32 model.

If I reset my printer again, I'll occasionally get 1 inch
of the picture/print that I attempted.

help. I'm saving things on my hard drive just so I can
print off line!

Since this problem is only when you are online (I assume running Internet
Explorer), go to Control Panel, Add/remove programs and click Uninstall
Internet Explorer. You will then be offered the choice to repair it. Try
that.

If that doesn't work and you are not running the latest version of Internet
Explorer, you might try upgrading to the latest version.

I went through the repair process and still get the same
info. My printer will print about 1 inch after it says
that I have lost communication and that it is only
available with the WIN32 model. I am running I.E. 6 SP1 &
internet tools. I believe that is the latest version for
windows 98. Is there a newer version? As a 98 user,
should I be using a different version? Off-line, my
printer works just fine. Any suggestions?
sincerely,
handwriting out all directions.

Try uninstalling the latest update - the one that appears to have caused the
problem - and then reinstalling it. Often with Win32 error messages, the
cause is a corrupt file. You should find this in Control Panel, Add/remove
programs.

Except for the fact that you only have a problem when online, it sounds like
a problem with the cable between your printer and your computer. Make sure
that each end is snugly connected.
