How do I restore media player as default....

I was wondering with regards to windows 98se how do you restore windows media player as your default player if when you installed another media player it now plays music cds as opposed to windows media player doing it. I read in a magasine you just go to the autoplay tap within the cd icon properties but win 98se doesn't appear to have that particular tab.

The usual way to change an association is to right click the file while
holding down the shift key, select Open With, pick the program that is to
open the file and mark the Always box.
