lost all sound
I uninstalled some downloaded sound programs and now I don't have any sound at all. I lost the little speaker icon from the bar at the bottom of my window.
Windows Media Player seems to be playing, but I don't hear anything. I'm running 98se Peter |

Sorry, first response belongs to your other post. For this one have a =
look in Device Manager under "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" to see = if your sound adapter/chip is listed. If not, you need to reinstall the = drivers for your sound adapter/chip. --=20 Brian A. Go to Start/Run type Qfecheck.exe and OK.
Is there any lines with a red mark? If so? Do they have "WDMAUD" in the line? If there are any red marks. These are updates that have been corrupted. You will needto load them again. May find them, through a search, on the CD that has your audio drivers on it -----Original Message----- I uninstalled some downloaded sound programs and now I don't have any sound at all.
