Default PCI ethernet adapter

Having problems installing a PCI ethernet adapter. Have installed the
hardware OK and driver installation goes ok from supplied CD until it asks
for Windows 98 se CD. I put the Windows 98 se CD in and click OK but it says
it can't find the files it's looking for. I re-tried several times but no
luck .

There is no browse facility to point it at drivers & I've tried E:\drivers
in the box but no luck.

all help gratefully received.

Check your hard drive for a number of files ending in the letters CAB - if
found these are your Windows Setup files and you should tell the installer
to look there for the Windows files it needs instead of on your Windows 98
CD.

Since the routine is looking for Win98 drivers (not
ethernet brand-specific files) it should probably be
looking in E:\Win98\
But if the routine really has "no browse facility"
somethingn more serious is wrong.
