Win98 keeps auto-restarting after shutdown-can't turn it off!!

I had the same problem. Called SBC. Instructed me to disable fast
shtutdown. It worked.

Hit start
Hit run
type msconfig
hit OK
hit advanced
put check next to "disable fast shutdown".

That's it.
