Infrared transmission
I have recently fitted a USB infrared port to transfer pics etc from my mobile phone to the PC, No problems. However I cannot see how to send from the PC, ie send to the IR port. Help thanks John

You need an application, such as ActiveSync or the one supplied with the
camera if you want to transfer files through the IR port. If it is installed as a standard serial port (it usually is) then a simple serial transfer application such as Hyperlink will do. However, the application to use really depends on the data transfer protocol supported by the device you are connecting to. You don't actually send to the IR port - you send to the device that the IR port is communicating with. "killjoy" wrote in message ...
