Default Display dead! help!!

When I switch on my Desktop PC running Win 98SE the display remains dead.
Operating the switch to turn on the display makes no difference.
How do I check the display please
Regards

Default Display dead! help!!

Some monitors have an On-screen Setup procedure that can
be used to donfirm that the display circuitry is working.

Move the monitor to another PC that is operating
properly. If there is still no display then the monitor
needs to be repaired. If the monitor works on the other
machine then you need to check the video adapter card and
cable on the original machine. If there is no display at
all then the motherboard or power supply might have died.
