AVICAP32.DLL
Only a few days ago I noticed an error message when I turn
on my computer. It says, "The AVICAP32.DLL won't start. Check the file to determine the problem." I have tried several methods to get it working. I even went to my friend's house. She has the same computer I have. I signed on as a guest, emailed the file to myself, went home, and downloaded the file from my email. I saved it to c:\windows\system. I still got the error message when I restarted the computer. I am getting so frustrated. I don't know what to do. I want to add that when I got the error messages, I happened to use one of the screensavers I liked, but it didn't work. I guess maybe it has something to do with the AVICAP32.DLL file?? HELP! Thanks Peggy |

Download, install, update the programs to be sure they have the latest definitions, then run the programs below. They are free and very effective.Be sure to run both SpyBot and Adaware, as what one does not detect the other may. It is important that you follow all directions carefully: SpyBot Search & Destroy: Free http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10...ml?tag=lst-0-2 or http://majorgeeks.com/download2471.html AdAwa Free http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ or http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads31.html CWShredder: Free http://tinyurl.com/2l9kl or http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4086.html CoolWebSearch Chronicles http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html HTH Jan |

AVICAP32.DLL
I have been using Ad-aware 6.0. Two days ago I ran it,
and it says I have win32.small.trojan. I had them quarantined and then deleted. I tried to find those in my hard drive, but the search came up with nothing. I don't know how I can find and delete them. I also use Grisoft to scan for viruses, and so far, I don't have any viruses. Is win32.small.trojan dangerous? The detail in each registry key, registry value, and/or file identified says the risk is low. I will have to scan it again to get more information to post here. I still get the error message regarding AVICAP32.DLL :-( |

Download, install and immediately update the Stinger to be sure you have the latest definitions, then run it. It is a very powerful tool. Symantec also has some very good Trojan removal tools.
