Kernel32.dll is the 32 bit kernel or "heart and soul" of Windows. It is involved in virtually every task or function that runs on the computer so whenever something else messes up in some way it is quite likely that kernel32.dll will be adversely affected by this. The general format of the type of error message that you are getting is: culprit caused a type of error in module victim (at error address). And kernel32.dll is a favorite victim for these errors, for the reasons stated above. Try Richard Harpers checklist steps, in the sequence listed, then try the fix in the "another solution" section. If the problem is still unresolved then it is largely a matter of trial and error, eliminating possible causes one at a time until there is only a single possible suspect left. At that point the single remaining suspect has to be the culprit. Either that or the testing procedures were flawed. Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
