Default Address book problem - outlook express

My address book has 'lost' most of my addresses, in the sense that they
don't appear on the screen, and when I try to send an email to someone who
was on the list, the address isn't known. YET when I use the 'find people'
facility, the address appears as usual, so all the information must be in
there, somewhere - it's just that neither I, nor the email I'm trying to
send, can see it. Can anyone suggest how I can restore the situation?
Graham
