Default cd burning

I have nero express,
what is the difference between burning a data disc and copy entire disc
options.
is it true that when we darag and drop files from windows explorer to 'Add
data t o my disc' window in Nero, these are temprarily stored on hard drive
and on burning transfered to CD-R.
If burn process is not completed successfully (due to less space on hard
drive) do some files to be burnt remain on hard drive to further compromise
disc space and if so how can they be removed?
In system configuration utility window(when I run msconfig) some programs
are listed twice. why? thanks

When burning data in ISO 9660 format, the files alredy exist on the hard
drive.

A copy of a CD disc includes data and audio, combinations of same, and will
auto-close the session so no further writing is possible. Do not confuse
disc (CD) with disk (hard drive).

Using the standard Nero, without use of the wizard, will usually educate the
user on what's happening during a burn by option usage before the burn.

options.

These are not transferred, they are copied during a drag and drop. There is
no interim cache, like CD-copy. For drag and drop, there is no need.

Adding data to a disc (CD) implies the previous session was left open.

If the session you're talking about now is a copy of a CD, yes. This an
interim image of the copied CD.

Nature of the beast, LoadPowerProfile for instance.

one more thing please
When I m prompted for disc clean up and windows check space on hard drive
which can be made available, it shows apart from other things 'Windows 98
uninstall information' occuping many MB space, is it safe to delete this
item to free space on hard drive?

burning a data disc = copying files on your computer HD to a CD blank

copy entire disc = copy a CD to another CD

Yes: if you are satisfied with your OS installation
and see no need ever to revert to the previous
installation, you can safely delete it.

1- Yes I m ok with my OS but I purchase used computer, so do
you mean it can be reverted to some earlier windows
version?

2 *- what is the logic/need of copying files from HD to
a blank CD?
*- to copy entire disc to a blank CD, perhaps
first I will have to copy the source disc toHD
and then perhaps I can burn this to a blank CD.
true or false ?

one more question:
I opted to copy entire disc and then copied track on hard disc and these
were saved as an image file.I then removed the source CD and put a CD-R on CD
burner and tried to transfer/copy the file (an image file on HD) to CD-R but
when i did that instead of starting the burning, a new Nero express windows
appeared. what to do?

Maybe but what does that have to do with the explanation of terms I gave
you?

Why, to back them up, of course. In case the hard drive goes bad.

To make a copy. Why make a copy? So you have a backup of whatever you
copied.

Both true *and* false. You can do it that way but you probably don't
have to unless your computer is very old. The main reason for doing so
is to temporarily have the contents of the source CD on your HD so that
you can make multiple copies on blank CDs. aster than the burning
program having to read the source for each copy.

No idea, I don't use (or like) Nero. However, I am sure that there is
an option somewhere to write the image to a blank CD. Whether you
choose "audioCD" or "dataCD" etc. would depend on what the source was
from which you made the image.

Easiest way to resolve the question is to read Nero's help file.

Dont try to drag and drop the image, the default action for image files
opens in the 'dumbed down' express mode, & will be very much slower than
opening the image from within either app.
open Nero or nero express and use (In express 'disk image or saved project'
button ) (In Nero 'File' 'Open' "file type'saved projects or images'")
