Mouse suddenly won't work
Roy,
I am sorry to hear but I had the similar problem a few months ago. It sounds to me like your mouse had went kaput. Its time for a new serial mouse. As you know the serial to ps2 adapters don't always work. I had learned that the hard way. This company is the one one I know that is still selling a brand name serial port mouse.
