Zone Alarm: 3.0.0.2/255.255.255.255
This is probably a late tidbit of information although I've seen the topic discussed elsewhere (and even here in '04). But, a few days ago I discovered a new entry in my Zone Alarm 'firewall' section titled... "New Network" with the above IP address with TYPE=Network and ZONE=Internet. After pondering for a while and running all sorts of scanners - nothing strange found - I remembered my wife gave me an XMas gift of Pinnacle Studio QuickStart... complete with the a video capture USB device DVC80.
Makes sense. This is the only recent installation on this PC. Even though I don't use the device every day. It is plugged into a USB port. Perhaps, this small factoid will help someone out there who is using Zone Alarm and has discovered this NEW UNREMOVABLE network entry in their Firewall TAB? Hope this helps...
