Default Outlook Express

The message "x unread messages remain in your inbox"
continues to read that I have 1 unread message when I am
certain that there are no unread messages.
Clearly the system for logging messages has become
confused.
How can I rectify this?

Default Outlook Express

In Outlook Express place cursor on Local Folder in Folder List and select
File, Folder, New and then move all messages from Inbox to new Folder. Close
Outlook Express.

Enter Windows Explorer and using Tools, Find, Files and Folders search your
C drive for "inbo*. dbx" without quotes as the search criteria. Delete file.
When you re-open Outlook Express a new Inbox will be automatically
generated.
