Default Trying to do a recovery

Trying to do a recovery. I have 2 disk. When I insert
Dist 1 I click on recovery. It runs thru its process up
until a certain point. It says: "CDR101: Not ready
reading drive M." Do you want to abort? retry? fail? I've
tried them all and abort is all it will do. I can't get
past the error message. Thanking you in advance for all
your help!

That message indicates that the CD drive is not being accessed properly.
Perhaps the boot process is not loading the correct DOS drivers for the CD
drive. This might be because the boot disk is not configured properly, or
perhaps the CD drive is not working properly. Get a utility to create a new
boot disk at www.bootdisk.com and use that boot disk to confirm that the DOS
drivers for the CD can be loaded by the boot process and that the CD can be
accessed. If that boot disk gives you access to the CD (note that the drive
letter might be different - that doesn't matter) then that would indicate
some problem with the recovery boot disk you are using. You may be able to
use the new boot disk to proceed with the recovery, but since each
manufacturer creates different procedures for their recovery disks it's
difficult to offer precise advice. If the new boot disk doesn't give you
access to the CD drive then the best guess would be that the drive is
faulty.
