Default KERNEL32.DLL????

hey..
ive just installed WMP 7 on my win 98 and when i try to start WMP 7 a popup
comes up that says: "The WMPLAYER.EXE file is linked to missing export
KERNEL32.dllelayLoadFailureHook." then i hit ok and then another pop up
comes up saying: "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\WMPLAYER.EXE A device
attached to the system is not functioning."

Im currently running win 98 on a pent 2 gateway mid size tower. is there any
way that i can get WMP to open and play movie clips and music?

Are you sure you got the right version of Windows Media Player? Sounds like
you tried to load the Windows XP version on your Windows 98 computer.
Uninstall it, then download and install the correct version.
