Default video clips don't play immediately

when i click on video clips (downloads) they no longer play immediately.
Now, I have to wait for them to download before viewing. They download to
temporary folder.

I've checked settings in view folders file and all appears to be ok.

I am updated with windows update. Could the "update windows" have changed
the settings somewhere on my computer?

Streaming files will begin playing immediately, all others must be
downloaded before playing. This behaviour is independent of Windows or any
settings within it.

The streaming files are the ones I am talking about. They all download now
to "temporary folder" then start streaming. It is a case of my bad
explanation--LOL

I get the pop up asking to "open" or "save". The box and question " Always
open files with this program"(or something--LOL) is checked and cannot be
changed.

This just started happening recently. I looked at my computer and the only
thing done lately that I can remember is "updating windows" . example
-critical updates etc.

Oh, wait, I did recently do a "spybot search and destroy scan" and an
"adware scan".

Again, thanks for the help !

That's not a streaming media file, then. Streaming files NEVER download and
NOTHING you do to your system can make them do so.

Well, I goofed again,--LOL. Don't know where my mind was at when I wrote the
reply. I actually know my computer pretty well and also SHOULD know what a
streaming file is---LOL.

Usual case example: I click on the file and WMP start playing immediately.
Now just goes to temporary folder then starts playing.

Something changed and I just didnt notice when because I hadn't tried to
view a clip in a while. Just aggravating---LOL

Plus the wait time for the file to completely download, as opposed to
viewing as downloading.

Thank you for the effort, much appreciated.
