98se Install can't find .dll files
I've had to reformat the harddisk.
Whe I try to install Win98se, it comes to a point where it cann't find any .dll files. The first one I point to C:\windows\system and it is found...all the others say to insert the 98 disk and hit enter. I do that and nothing happens. Please help. I can't afford a new computer for another 6 months. |

98se Install can't find .dll files
I bet the cd drivers are not activating after the 1st reboot (when the
system still has more files to install from cd). Reformat, and copy the win98 directory from your cd drive to a convinent place of the hard drive. Then run setup from that location. That way, the files will be available after the first reboot. "Wrenn" wrote in message ... I've had to reformat the harddisk.
