error messages in startup window

I've downloaded and installed Mcafee Virus Scan, subscribe
thru AOL .. but get error message on startup:

Mcafee Virus Shield
" X Error: Incorrect V Shield device driver version"

then old Mcafee menu which just scanned comes up
I have to delete both of these ;

Then ==
Real Player
"Unable to establish a connection with the server"
I think I can resolve this by going to Real Player Website.

Real Player pops up without selection.
I have to delete both of these.

Appreciate advice on removing these error messages.

Off the top of my head sounds like you have to completely uninstall the
old McAffee before installing the new one. McAffee's website might
provide details on how to go about this.

I think I can resolve this by going to Real Player Website.

Or easier by going through RP's Options/Preferences and unchecking their
AutoUpdate "feature".
