It could be anything, including a virus or worm.

Webcheck V5.1.2
It's possible that this is a program by ITUtils that will monitor a web site
and let you know if it's down. The current version appears to be 5 and may have been upgraded to 5.1.2. But, as Richard says, it could be anything. http://www.itutils.com/ PattyL wrote in message ups.com... Does anyone know what this application is?

Just to let you know why i need to know I have to install it and test it as an application and have no idea what it does in order to script it. If you are saying that it might be an app that monitors websites in case they are down. That is good news. Thanks so much Helly

Try "Fileadvisor Bit9" http://fileadvisor.bit9.com/ which will identify the
