Default hyperterminal missing

I can no longer locate hyperterm. The folder is empty and
not listed under communications. I need it to 'ping' my
other network computers to test a problem.

Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Windows Setup tab / Communications /
Select Hyper Terminal, if it's already selected, deselect it, restart
computer & reselect it.

But if you only want to "ping" another host, open a dos
prompt, and use ping.

For a bit of fun and time wasting, try

ping 127.0.0.1

Good luck,
