REDUCING "VIEW" SIZE W/O USING "APPLY" BUTTON
Hello I'm trying to help my aunt over the phone. She tells me her fonts and
icons and everthing else is huge. It is so big she cannot change the size in the "display properties" because she cannot hit the "apply" button, nor can she drag the screen up with her mouse so the "apply" button shows. I also asked her if she had "configsafe", so we could reset her registry to a previous date and she did a search and cannot find, it may be called something else in WIN98SE. She has WIN98SE. Can someone help me so I can get her "view" back where it needs to be, thank you. |

(but she can't see the "ok") select a higher resolution 800X600 then use the "tab" to cycle to the "ok" or "apply" button and press enter. if you can't see it , you may have to try this more than once (hit "tab" once hit "enter", no go? try hitting "tab" twice the enter) should onty take one or two tries ....there are , of course , many ways around this ...this way is the most simple (over the phone) hope it helps : |

REDUCING "VIEW" SIZE W/O USING "APPLY" BUTTON
Use the enter (or return) key on the keyboard--that is the same as clicking
OK. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "mrbigbry" wrote in message ... REDUCING "VIEW" SIZE W/O USING "APPLY" BUTTON
In addition to what you have already been told, you can move the oversized box so
that the button you want is visible: While the display properties box has the focus, press this key combo one after the other: Alt, then Spacebar, then M The mouse pointer will turn into a four-headed arrow. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the outline of the properties box up till the area of the buttons are in view, then press Enter. -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Shell/User, A+ http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm "mrbigbry" wrote in message ...
