Default About:Blanc - am i digging my hole deeper?

Hi, i am also suffering from the above hijacker and have
read mike's response from May 28th.

It was initially picked up by avast home, and i moved the
infected file to the virus chest but it still came back.
I then tried removing it with adaware, and spybot.

I was also running spywareblaster, or i thought so. But
when i tried it since this infection, i got a message
saying that a virus or damaged hard disk was preventing it
from running. So i tried defragging, but this has caused
various problems, which were identified by spybot as
missing help and DLL files and wrong application paths.

avast also picked up Win32:Netsky-P but i think this went
straight into the quarantine, but i'm not really sure what
is causing the problems??

The question is, should i try running CWS shredder or am i
just making things worse for myself?

Can you help,
Thanks
