Default Getting DLL not found errors

After having tried and failed on a Windows ME install.
I"m getting a number of DLL not found errors..
powerprof.dll, noniexcl.exe,... When I try to run
windows update on the MS site it fails with a OX80070485
error. I've tried to follow MS site for correcting this
error but it doesn't seem to work. I get the regenv32
failure error whenever the system shuts down.

Do I need to do a reinstall of ME to fix these problems?

Thanks,
Harry

I think you have unwanted visitors.

Neither of those files are MS related but a search on the MS Knowledge Base
for "noniexcl.exe" links to the following:-
"What You Should Know About the Sasser Worm and Its Variants"
http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/sasser.asp

Good luck

Mart

Unfortunately, this is one of the quirks of the KB search engine (
It's found no entries for 'noniexcl' - but loads for '.exe' - and since
Sasser is the current hot topic, that's what comes up first in the results.
Searching on the filename inside quotes will link to Sasser, as it seems to
be a default link for any .exe filename

Don't have a clue what the file really is - so looking at its properties and
location would be a high priority for me.
