Errors
I have reformated my ENTIRE hard drive. I only recently
updated my drivers and have NO outside programs installed. The first time I try to access my video card's specs, I get a white boxed error message with NOTHING in it except "Close". As soon as I press close, all the windows close, and my computer locks up. I did several virus scans before reformatting, and they have turned up nothing. Again, I keep getting the error's when trying to access Internet Explorer. WHAT IS GOING ON?! |

I DON'T KNOW, though you'll probably want to refrain from "accessing my video card's specs" (whatever that is(?)) for awhile until you figure this out. You may want to uninstall/reinstall your video drivers just on general principles or use the System Restore utility to restore your system settings/files to a point before the obnoxious behaviour. As well as your unnamed anti-virus program, you should try these spyware/adware detection and removal tools. spybot/adware detection & removal tools: http://www.safer-networking.org/ http://www.lavasoftusa.com/ Rick |

Errors
I used Norton AntiVirus and the registered version of
Webroot's Spy Sweeper before I reformated. "Accessing my video card's" specs was really looking at my video card's drivers in the system information part of My Computer. I have reinstalled my drivers and I STILL keep getting errors. Plus on top of that, I'm getting error's in the kernel32.dll when running Microsoft Internet Explorer. I have updated everything Microsoft wants me too, and I think it's just making things worse. |
