Default reclaim deleted address book

Hi. I just deleted my wab file by mistake, and I am left
with an empty address book.
my question is .. if I delete my existing wab file, and
use system restore, is it possible it will bring up the
old wab that was existing at the time of restore, or is it
forever lost ?

all help is appreciated

System Restore has no interest in, and therefore does not monitor and cannot
restore, user data such as address books.

Close Outlook Express. Look for and rename your current address book from
name.wab to name.old with name being whatever name your address book
has. Then search for either a file with a wa~ extension or simply named ~
(which depends on the version of Outlook Express that you are using). When
located, make a copy of the file and give it the name of your address book and
make sure it is located in the same folder as your original address book.
With luck this will have restored a copy of your deleted address book but this
will only work if you haven't already made some changes to your new empty
address book.
