Default Removing ME and installing Windows 98

I want to install Windows 98 on my puter because Windows
ME is a pain in the rear. It hangs, I get fatal errors
etc. I never had this problem with Windows 98 on my old
computer. When I try to install Windows 98, mye computer
says that I cannot do this without removing ME first. How
do I do this and then get Windows 98 installed correctly.

I'm an idiot and need step by step directions.

THANK YOU!!!

Rob
