wordpad

hi
the message i get when i am unable to download an
attachment to my email is:

"Wordpad has caused an error in
MSWRD832.CNV
wordpad will now close"

My wordpad is obviously not working but I do not know how
to fix it.

Kathleen,

The error you are seeing is because you are trying to open a document
written using a later version of MS Word than can be opened with WordPad.
For details see MS KB 276337 - "WD2000: Problems Opening Word Document in
WordPad" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=276337).

Rather that trying to use WordPad for such documents you might want to
consider downloading and installing the free Microsoft Word viewer
(http://office.microsoft.com/download...wd97vwr32.aspx).
