Problems transferring WinKey to another account
Hi everybody
I'm in the process of transferring my user information, desktop preferences and favorites to another user account. However, I'm having some unexpected problems with WinKey. In the first account, I make extensive use of WinKey shortcuts there being more than 50 shortcuts in WinKeyMgr. However, in the new account, the WinKey menu shows up as an abbreviated version of the first with only 30 shortcuts, some of which are those which I had actually deleted from the version in the first account some time ago. As far as I can see, this data for WinKey is only stored in c:\program files\winkey so both accounts should present exactly the same WinKey menu. Am I missing something here? TIA Paul |

Why not ask the author?
I haven't looked at Winkey since 1999 and then it held information on shortcuts in the Registry. ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP Windows - Internet Explorer http://dts-l.org/index.html On 12 Apr 2006 03:12:52 -0700, in microsoft.public.windowsme.general, "PaulFXH" wrote: Hi everybody I'm in the process of transferring my user information, desktop preferences and favorites to another user account. Problems transferring WinKey to another account
Hi Alan
Thanks for your reply. Actually, before posting I had looked on the WinKey Help/FAQ site only to find that Copernic have not provided support for WinKey since June 2005. If you know who else I can contact, please give me some contact details. Thanks Paul |

Problems transferring WinKey to another account
Hi Paul
Please quote previous messages when you reply. Sorry, I haven't used it for seven years, so I have no current contacts. Have a look in the Registry under the Winkey shortcuts and see if it is what you want. ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP Windows - Internet Explorer http://dts-l.org/index.html On 12 Apr 2006 07:32:19 -0700, in microsoft.public.windowsme.general, "PaulFXH" wrote: Hi Alan Thanks for your reply.
