TweakUI
TweakUI on Win95B was useful for removing items appearing in Add/Remove
Software when the program had already been uninstalled. Users are clearly cautioned not to try to use this TweakUI on Win98SE. On my original Win98SE CD-ROM, for whatever reason, TweakUI shows as an unexplained deletion by Microsoft. Does anyone know why it was deleted from the installation CD-ROM? Does anyone know how I can get a TweakUI for my Win98SE computer? -- Jack & Link |

Although TweakUI was written on MS time by a Win98 programmer MS decided it did not want the responsibility of maintaining it -- that is all. Google should help you find the many sites where TweakUI can be downloaded. Look for version 1.33 (1999.) -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |

I've used it across multiple Windows OS's with great success. -- Daniel Hicks |

Not quite right Don--I think you are thinking about RegClean. One of MS'
major OEM partners did not want Tweak on the OEM CD because they felt it caused too much trouble for their phone bank technicians (i.e., a novice would change something with Tweak and then call the OEM because the system was "broken"). -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP Windows 98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Don Phillipson" wrote in message ...
