Take a look in device manager under CD-ROM.
If not there you may have to look at the drive. wrote in message ... how can I determine the manufacturer of my cd-rom drive? |

I have no idea where your drive manufacturer may have put the name and model
on your drive. You may have to 'get at the drive' to see. Seems a bit odd that you have to know that. wrote in message ... -----Original Message----- Take a look in device manager under CD-ROM. So I was going to go to the manufacturers web site and download the driver for it but I do not know who the manufacturer is. wrote in message ... -----Original Message----- Take a look in device manager under CD-ROM. You should not have to download a driver for an EIDE drive for operation
under Windows. Does the BIOS see the drive when you boot? If not: Check wiring, jumpers (Master/Slave/CS) as appropriate. Why do you think the secondary channel was disabled ? wrote in message ... -----Original Message----- I have no idea where your drive manufacturer may have put the name and model on your drive.
