splash screen

Hi all,

When I boot my computer, the win98 splash screen
does not appear.

I read on the mskb the pressing ctrl for some time
activate/deactivate the splash screen. So I tried
to keep down the ctrl key when booting to reactivate
it; without any results...

Also, I do not see anything about startup screen
in msconfig utility.

Any idea?

Check C:\msdos.sys. Open it in notepad. When there is a line bootlogo=0
change it in bootlogo=1

I prefer not to have the splash screen showing as nasty things can be done
behind it and you will never know it until it is too late.
