Reg patch for U.S. Daylight Saving Time changes?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1 Does anyone know if a registry patch is available yet *for Windows 98* for the 2007 Daylight Saving Time changes for the United States? I've googled it, checked the MS website, etc. and can't find a patch for Win98. Fwiw, I expect patches to be written by panicked folks about 10 minutes after the change goes into effect on March 11, 2007, hahaha. Note: I'm looking for a *patch*. I know I can do it manually using tzedit and the info on MS's site, but I don't want to take a chance and screw it up. Rather leave it up to the technical experts. ;-) http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=914387 Btw, I'm in GMT -5:00, Eastern Time Zone, in NYC. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 8.1 iQA/AwUBRV/JraRseRzHUwOaEQKFjQCg+p12UfivwzXElndUsQEZUuLJOAIAo NvK D0Tph5ieOGaNnVkzEcS+8grO =JuCo -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Laura Fredericks PGP key ID - DH/DSS 2048/1024: 0xC753039A Usenet Flamewars: http://www.queenofcyberspace.com/usenet/ Check out TurboNote+, the best onscreen sticky note program EVER! http://turbonote.com/TBNPlusIntro::.@HGT Remove CLOTHES to reply. |

Reg patch for U.S. Daylight Saving Time changes?
If a patch is not already offered for Windows 98/98SE, then it won't be
offered. Support has ended for those systems. The way to do it is manually, using TZEDIT.EXE. It's really quite straight forward. Just run it, select your time zone, click Edit, and change the values to have daylight savings time start on the second Sunday in March, and end on the first Sunday in November. Those values are the only ones that need changing. -- Gary S. Do like I did, move to Arizona and you don't have daylight saving time.
