How to record from radio.
wrote in message
... My son (11) wants to know how to record from a radio station. .. . . I know how to record CD's (Easy CD Creator); I can get the radio stations direct from their url (can't figure out how to get them in media player). But I cannot figure how to marry the two. 1. Select your audio control software. (I use Audio Cleaner by Magix.DE.) The Windows recording module is limited to 60 seconds max. 2. Select audio player software compatible with both audio control software and what the radio stations transmit. RealPlayer seems to be the commonest (for RAM files, saved by Audio Cleaner as WAV files.) -- Don Phillipson Carlsbad Springs (Ottawa, Canada) |

wrote in message ... I'm running Windows 98 SE. My son (11) wants to know how to record from a radio station. Says the kids at school do it -- say it's easy. But don't say how in terms comprehensible to him/me/us. Am I missing a piece of software? Am I missing something simple and obvious? Or is this mission impossible? Any help much appreciated. Ken Trying to impress his newly adopted son. This is a very simple program which I use all the time. It's not free but it's very good. http://www.mp3recorder.us/ Regards Bill |

I wonder if that program is similar to Total Recorder, which also records in
real time. Anybody happen to know the difference? Bill P wrote: wrote in message ... I'm running Windows 98 SE. My son (11) wants to know how to record from a radio station. Free, but probably more limited, I'd guess. Haven't used Total Recorder
recently, but it came in handy awhile ago. I don't think it was very expensive, though. dadiOH wrote: Bill in Co. wrote: Hi dadiOH! I didn't know you were in here too, or else I forgot.
