XP/98 Dual boot

I'm trying to install 98/XP on a single HD under separate partitions. When
I try to install 98 the setup doesn't seem to have a driver to recognize my
cdrom. I get an error message saying cd rom can't be found and setup files
can't be found.

I'm using: SONY DVD RW DW-Q120A

Any idea how to get setup to work?

What boot disk are you using? You can get a utility to create a boot disk
at www.bootdisk.com.

If it really isn't supported, you could consider installing an old CD drive
for the purpose.

In addition make saure your boot drive C: is formatted with FAT32.

Also remember to install the bootloader you need to install win98 first then
the winXP installation will automatically install the bootloader and allow
selection of either oprating system.

- If you can boot from the CD or a bootdisk, goto the WIN98 directory on the
CD and type FORMAT C: /S /U /Q
- Copy all the files from the WIN98 directory (approximatly 100 files) into
a temporary folder (IE C:\win98).
- Reboot the computer to boot off the hard drive.
- Goto the WIN98 directory and type SETUP.
