Default Kernel 32 messages

Help!! I use 98SE IE 6.0, which I hate, and have all the required updates
for IE and Office 2000, yet I still have error messages at various times. On
this latest occasion, it involves the Kernel 32 error message. Here is the
entireity of the error message:3D TEXT caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff9dfff.

I use a simple text message for my screensaver, and for the first time
today, this error message has appeared.
I'll be honest, between the mshtml.dll error messages and this, I am not
pleased with Windows.
Thanks in advance for your help. Jeff
