Default Open an IE shortcut in a new window???

When I have an IE window open and I click on a desktop shortcut, the new web
page replaces the first one. Is there a way to click the shortcut and have
it open in a new window?

Tried pressing and holding the shift key and clicking the shortcut? Make
sure it doesn't activate a whole mess of shortcuts or you will open
gazillions of pages. bg

Just in case, I should have asked, do you "re-use windows for launching
shortcuts" in IE Optionsadvanced tabbrowsing re-use windows for launching
shortcuts? If so, Un-check that applyOk your way out.

That did the trick! Thanks a bunch.

(holding the SHIFT key didn't work)

Glad you've gotten it resolved. s The shift key deal will probably work
now, but no need to bother.

Can you right click it and select 'Open in a new window'? If you'll
add the site to your Favorites you could select it from the Start
Menu which will open it a new window or from the Links bar in ie which
will NOT open the link in a new window.
