Default Update Regarding FF3.6 Going to "Check Your Plugins" Page on Web

Hi,

Below is my original post titled, "Adobe Reader V6 Side Effect".
It spawned a lot of responses, but everything I tried didn't "work". Later
I thought it was just a coincidence and the problem had nothing to do with the
installment of Adober Reader V6.

I resigned myself to "live with it", but later I decided to try on more
thing:

I removed (un-installed) FF3.6, but included the personal settings too.
I restarted the computer, then I installed FF3.6, but this time I had to
make those personal settings via "Options" ("no big deal").

Apparently this "fixed" the "problem" (see below) because
it has not happened again.

Hi,

I use FF (FireFox) 3.6 (had an issue with FF4.0) and KernelEx on my
Win98se computer.

Not long ago, I installed AR6 (Adobe Reader 6) after I removed V5. I
also installed IE 5.5 before installing AR6.

Ever since I installed AR6, when I launch FF, most of the time it
automatically goes to Mozilla's "Check Your Plugins" page. This never
happened before.

Note: I have all automatic updates unchecked in FF and FF launches to
"Show a Blank Page" ("General" options) .

Any ideas on what may be the cause of this "Check Your Plugins"
nuisance?

Thank You in advance, John
