Default Extremely slow network

We have small office and my coworker on a Win98 machine decided, on his own
accord, to delete Outlook Express from his PC. Since then, his network
connection is extremely slow. It will still make the connection, but may
take several minutes to find the server.....

Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is and how to remedy it.

Thank you.

Depending upon your actually network configuration, the issue MAY revolve
around OE/Exchange issues, identifications, login values, previous local
network mail exchange settings, etc..

You MAY be able to correct the issue by re-installing IE/OE. However, other
network and/or sever settings may also need modified.
It would/will be difficult to diagnose the issues completely over the
Internet unless you are also the system/network administrator and completely
familiar with the network topology, hierarchy, and setup.
As 9X is not the likely master server of and within a *small office
network*, you should be asking these questions in the applicable group,
e.g., if a NT network then use the group associated with the central server.
IF this office has no central server, then more information will be needed
concerning the network and its setup, what OSs are part of the network, what
software is used [like Exchange or other mail service] and other factors,
such as how these computers DO communicate with each other.
