Default speed slow down of network

I m using norton server and install clients on all win98 clients.becose of it
my
network go slow down.when I disable it go fast.so pls tell me how can I speed
up my network while using norton antivirus.

(corporate or retail? )
turn off real time scanning on the server and uncheck the scanning of
network drives on the clients

LOL Thanks Haggis. I have been having an email conversation about something
similar (exchange server) and was about out of ideas. Chances are good (I
had them disable it at the server level and it was fine) you've resolved
this issue for them and I. Much appreciated.
