Default Explorer is missing when I press ctrl-Alt-Delete on running task

I know explorer & systray should always be on the task list when you hit
Ctrl-Alt-Delete, but it is missing-how can I get it back?

No-it always says floopy disk fail & I have to press F1 key to make it go. Also my Defrag & Scandisk will not work. I have done a Virus Scan-Spybot & cleaned up my whole computer-but everything is still wacky.

The floppy disk failure message means you floppy drive (or cable, or controller) is
bad, and needs to be replaced.
What happens when you try to do Scandisk or Defrag, exactly?

You say you cleaned up the computer....what was on it?
