Default My Documents has disappeared from the Desktop

On a Windows Me system, My Documents has disappeared from my son's Desktop
and I have no idea how long this has been. One "Tip" I read suggested that
it should be the 1st icon on the Desktop.

I can navigate to c:/My Documents no problem. His files are all there.

How do I re-associate that folder with the Desktop in the proper manner?

His system has TweakUI installed, but the Desktop items than can be enabled
or disabled do not include "My Documents"

TIA,

Paul

You can put a shortcut of the file c:\My Documents to c:\windows\desktop\

Good luck,

Explorer Tools Folder options View check "Show My Documents on desktop".

If no joy then,

Start Run...
regsvr32 mydocs.dll

then do the folder options thing..
