Missing Hard Drive
My operating system does not recognize the second hard
drive. The drive was working ok, but now when I start up it is not showing up in Explorer or My Computer. I am having problems with C drive but don't know if that is related to the second drive problem. The C drive gives a message on startup that there may be errrors and Scandisk needs to be run. When I press any key, Microsoft Scandisk comes up but that is all. No graph of progress or anything. I can press Control-Alt-Delete and when it re-boots it may or may not bring up the message about running Scandisk. If it does it scans and continues to boot up, otherwise it boots up ok this time. I have asked for help with this problem before and one person asked if the Bios recognizes the other drive. I haven't had any luck getting to the Bios. What do I need to do to get to the Bios and could the problem with the C drive be causing the second drive to not be showing up? |
