AND how to return to any prior bootloader should that be involved. Those who prepare FIRST generally have the least problems [as if you need that "bit-o-wisdom" ;}]. Apparently you can even do it with the XP-with98-installed boot menu just by adding another line for the Linux partition. That MAY be the easiest way to start. Okay, so you have prepared,, knew you had. I looked into the boot manger via Microsoft issue myself, didn't seem all that difficult. BTW, I will miss you - why don't you get an account at eternal september? Been done awhile ago for other reasons, MEB will not post via it here anymore when this group is removed regardless of any furtherance elsewhere, my obligation to Win9X users is apparently over. You are probably one of the few that will supposedly miss MEB anyway. Besides, if the group continues somewhere it will likely fill up with some of the old users and some new maybe for a time till nothing is worthwhile, and of course you'll have 98 Guy and Sunny to keep you occupied with their ready wit... I have to admit I will miss this group and its users though; as some are saying "its been a good run". -- MEB http://peoplescounsel.org/ref/windows-main.htm Windows Info, Diagnostics, Security, Networking http://peoplescounsel.org The "real world" of Law, Justice, and Government ___--- |
