Is it possible for you to compose coherent sentences in english?

You are such a stupid fool. You have no idea how usenet works.

But that's a good thing, because when microsoft removes this win-98
newsgroup, both you and MEB will disappear and the rest of us that use
other servers will still be here.

And you and your like will be *still* be supplying garbage, bad advise,
and mindless crap to those users. PLUS subjecting them to further hacks,
and like activities since most of you are "clueless".

And of course, you, personally, HAVE previously exposed you have *no
idea* how Usenet works in the two EXTENSIVE discussions here in this
group on Usenet... you still don't.

I feel sorry for the users who will be subjected to you and your
like... at least for a limited time period [depending upon how long the
NNTP servers/services continue]. You seem to forget there are
"controlling" groups for/over all of the "Internet", and without the
MAJOR servers, major corporations and their OWNED lines and routing
servers/services, *Usenet* isn't going very far should support be dropped.

Most ISP, here in Australia, provide NNTP Server for their customers.
Bigpond (my ISP) and Telstra provide excellent newsgroup access.
When Microsoft stops their server, the only people who will not see posts
are those that rely on the Microsoft servers. For those who use other
Usenet servers, there will be no effect.

If anyone is talking BS, it is you.

There is no such thing as a "MAJOR servers", and the disappearance of the
Microsoft servers will not affect Usenet one iota.

Default Microsoft Responds to the Evolution of Online Communities

On Tue, 04 May 2010 12:14:41 -0700 (UTC), put
finger to keyboard and composed:

Date 5/4/2010
Starting in early summer 2010, Microsoft will begin progressively closing
down the Microsoft public newsgroups to enrich conversations in the
rapidly-growing forum platform.

I don't want a two-paragraph text based conversation to be "enriched"
by 1MB of Javascript, plus ads and banners, and other inducements and
enticements.

I should be able to exchange 10 lines of text using just a 2400bps
dialup modem on a 286 machine running any version of DOS.

Thankfully, some technical forums have RSS feeds, and many will
deliver replies and notifications via email.

These days I make much greater use of OB1 (no JS support), and I visit
Google's cached text-only version of certain web sites whenever
possible.

This decision is in response to worldwide
market trends and evolving customer needs.

This decision is in response to consumer ignorance. Most customers
have never heard of Usenet, or an email client. They think they need
web based interfaces for everything, including email, and they carry
on their vacuous lives via Facebook and Twitter.
