autoexec.bat - MS DOS batch file

install.log - LOG file
back_up.reg - Registeration entries
Cmlog.log - LOG file
Command.com - MS DOS application

experience.

Config.ctl - CTL file

You sure it isn't Config.sys ?

devicetable.log - LOG file
Frunlog.txt - Text document

First Run Log file

Netlog.txt - Text document
Persist.log - LOG file
Scandisk.log - Log File

Results of ScanDisk actions

Setupxlg.txt - Text document

Depends what the contents say

install.log - LOG file

Self-explanatory

back_up.reg - Registeration entries

Name is self-explanatory

Cmlog.log - LOG file

Not specific to MS.

Command.com - MS DOS application

One of three boot files required for ms-dos, which windows 9X is based
on/rides on.

Config.ctl - CTL file

Origin unknown

devicetable.log - LOG file
Frunlog.txt - Text document
Netlog.txt - Text document
Persist.log - LOG file
Scandisk.log - Log File
Setupxlg.txt - Text document

Log and text documents are self-explanatory by content and date of file
creation.

regards
