Default Browser tangle

I need to use both Mozilla and Netscape for separate local operations -
one for graphics only and one for a display with sound. (The two are
related only indirectly.)

How can I untangle Netscape from Mozilla? That is, how can I make it
use its own profile setup and not change Mozilla when I change Netscape?
That is again, I need Netscape set up in a window about 3 inches square
and I need it to not screw around with my normal Mozilla screen.

I uninstalled Netscape and ran a custom installation, but it never even
asked if I wanted it to lock into Mozilla.

You would be better off asking in a Netscape newsgroup as your question has
nothing to do with apps that ship with W98 nor setting up W98.

I'm setting it up AND running it on Win98. Sorry if that isn't
exclusive enough for you.

You are asking about Netscape products which have nothing to do with the
operating system. I am suggesting that you ask your Ford questions at a
Ford dealer instead of calling a Chevy dealer. It makes sense to go where
the experts are for your particular question. The link I gave you gives you
Netscape newsgroups.

A lot of people _set up_ a lot of applications on windows - applications
that are NOT put out by Microsoft. But if you are the guardian of the
definition of _set up_ and that definition specifies that no one can
_set up_ anything on a windows computer but system specific masochisms,
then I offer you many of my deepest and heartfelt genuflections and
basest grovelings, so you can, in return, offer them to Poor Willie.
With incense, of course.

If, on the other hand you would be glad to answer _set up_ questions
about Internet Explorer and are just PO'd about anyone who would use
anything not sanctified by the gods of Microsoft, I offer you the sage
admonition once spoken by an old Native American on a reservation in
South Dakota many, many years ago. "Up your nose with a rubber hose."

Take your pick, but don't tell me there is no _set up_ involved in
_setting up_ a browser that is told by the system HOW it must be _set
up_. It's bad enough having to use a smelly system like windows without
having to be blessed out by pseudo-elitist ex-spurts.

I thought the Ford/Chevy analogy would make it clear but it obviously
hasn't. I don't care where you ask questions--period, end of subject. I
pointed out that your questions were solely related to a particular non-MS
product and that if you want the best chance of getting an answer, go where
the experts on that product hang out and ask them. Do what you want but I
suggest you drop your attack mode or no one will want to help.
