Windows EXPLORER.EXE Freezes up
Hi,
I'm running a Sony Vaio PCG-F150 Laptop with Windows ME. I've installed a Belkin F5D5020 PCMCIA Network Card and have the internet available through a D-Link DI-704P router. I'm having a problem where if I have the network cable connected to the laptop when I boot up, Windows freezes up and I have to restart. Alternatively, if I boot up without the cable connected, but I plug it in after it's done, things will work for around 1-10 minutes before it freezes up again. This happens not only with the browser, but with other programs like MSN or just Outlook. I've already tried to contact Belkin, but they never responded. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Chris p.s. Also, it's not a problem with the router directly, I have another laptop hooked up (same port-forwarding, setup etc) and it's running fine. |
