Windows media Player
I have recently installed a second CD drive and now Windows Media player will no longer play CDs from the original drive but gives the message " The selected file has a format which is not recognised by Windows Media Player" It will play them from the new drive. Windows explorer correctly identifies the files as *.CDA files on the original drive and all other file types (*.pdf, *.doc etc) can be read from the drive without problem. It may be a red herring but I have just removed a copy of I-Worm.NETSKY from the machine. Thanks john --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
