Default Can't set screensaver password

I'm trying to set the screen saver password on a
workstation that previously had a 3rd party screensaver
installed.

Although the 3rd party screensaver is now uninstalled,
apparently, there must be registry entries preventing the
screensaver password to be set.

Any ideas how to fix this?
